New Ringing Gallery
The new ringing gallery will enable ringers to be part of the congregation and to take a full part in services and it will also be used as a community room/heritage room. The good news is that we have now raised sufficient funds to enable us to build the gallery and work has now started on this. William Reades of Aldeburgh have been contracted to construct the gallery and they have made an excellent start. We anticipate the work will be completed soon.
We will not be ringing from the new gallery just yet, though. The work on the bells themselves will not take place until 2010 and so the gallery will be first used in October 2010 when the bells will have been restored and replaced in the tower.
