Proposed New Ringing Gallery
The new ringing gallery will enable ringers to be part of the congregation and to take a full part in services. Currently ringing takes place in a seperate chamber at the top of a spiral staircase in the tower. The ringing gallery will be a restoration of a 19th gallery that was removed in the 1870's. As well as being the place that ringers stand to ring the bells, the new Gallery will also be a Community Room that can be used by local community groups for meetings and other activities.
The new gallery will cost in the region of £15000 and we are inviting YOU to become a Friend of the Ringing Gallery by donating a small amount each month for a maximum period of two years. If you are interested in this please send us an email to let us know.
